OUR STORY:

The Return to Yourself Retreat was created from a shared vision to offer a space of deep healing and reconnection. Rooted in compassion, presence, and self-discovery, this experience grew from a desire to guide others back to their inner strength and wisdom.

Founded by Edita Petojevic, a licensed psychotherapist who returned to her roots in Istria to create a program centered on emotional healing, the retreat has since become a collaborative journey of transformation. Bringing together a team of dedicated facilitators, each with their own area of expertise, Return to Yourself combines therapeutic practices, movement, and mindful exploration to nurture the whole person, body, mind, and spirit.

At its heart, this retreat is a celebration of coming home to oneself. It is an invitation to release old stories, to connect with authenticity, and to rediscover the peace that has always been within reach.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The retreat is a therapeutic and holistic experience designed to support self-awareness, emotional balance, and inner peace. Drawing on years of professional practice and personal exploration, the program integrates evidence-based psychotherapy, mindful movement, and breathwork to guide participants through a gentle process of reconnection.

Each day follows a meaningful theme that builds upon the last, helping participants explore the layers of their inner world with compassion and curiosity. Through a combination of yoga, breathwork, guided reflection, and group processes, participants are invited to notice what arises, release what no longer serves them, and reconnect with their authentic selves.

Retreat One: May 13–17, 2026 | The Inner Path of Reconnection

This five-day retreat invites participants to explore the connection between body, mind, and spirit through daily practices of movement, breath, and reflection. It focuses on grounding, self-awareness, and rediscovering inner peace through nature, creative expression, and gentle therapeutic work.

  • Day 1: Arrival and Grounding

    • Welcome circle, intention setting, and gentle yoga to release travel tension.

  • Day 2: Awareness

    • Morning yoga, group exploration on self-connection, and guided breathwork.

  • Day 3: Balance

    • Somatic practices, creative reflection, and time in nature.

  • Day 4: Clarity

    •  Movement and integration sessions, followed by an evening reflection circle.

  • Day 5: Renewal

    • Closing practices, mindfulness journaling, and farewell gathering.

The second retreat offers a deeper immersion, combining psychotherapy, breathwork, and transformative group experiences. Participants are guided through emotional exploration, inner child work, and release rituals that bring lasting clarity and peace.

    • Arrival and opening circle on the beach, intention setting, reflection journaling, and dinner on the beach.

    • Sunrise yoga, boat excursion, and breathwork for emotional processing.

  • Day 3: Yearning

    • Inner child meditation, creative journaling, and a dolphin sunset boat ride.

  • Day 4: Release

    • Breathwork, windsurfing, and a powerful release ritual on the beach.

  • Day 5: Authenticity

    • Morning dance, countryside exploration, and wine tasting in Istria.

  • Day 6: Integration

    • Meditation, closing circle, and farewell lunch in Rovinj.

Edita Petojevic

Licensed Psychotherapist and Supervisor

Founder of the Return to Yourself program, Edita brings over sixteen years of clinical experience to her work with individuals and groups. Her integrative approach combines psychotherapy, mindfulness, and body-based healing to help participants explore and release emotional patterns, reconnect with their inner truth, and rediscover meaning in their lives.

Aneta Ardelian Kuzma

Transformational Coach, Yoga and Breathwork Facilitator

Aneta is a certified coach, yoga teacher, and breathwork guide who integrates mindfulness, somatic awareness, and spiritual growth in her work. Through daily practices of movement, breath, and reflection, she supports participants in slowing down, finding stillness, and reconnecting with what matters most.

Guest Practitioners and Local Guides

Each retreat also includes the support of local practitioners and guides who share their knowledge of Istria’s culture, nature, and traditions. Together, they create a rich environment for connection, reflection, and renewal.


OUR TREATMENT METHOD
