On the Live The Width of Your Life podcast, we explore what it means to not only live the length of our life but instead the breadth, depth, and purpose of each day.

She shares her personal story of creating balance in her life by aligning her daily choices to life values, strategies to redefine success, and creating space for a bit of magic and synchronicity.

It's never too late to change! We don't need to have it all figured out to begin; we can take action daily, show up imperfectly, and be amazed and inspired by how beautiful life can be.

What happens when success leads you toward something completely unexpected?

Many of us spend years building careers, following a path that seems logical and successful, only to discover that a deeper calling is waiting for us somewhere else.

I've found that some of the most meaningful chapters of our lives begin when we stop asking, "What's next for my career?" and start asking, "How can I make a difference?"

In this episode, I sit down with Steve Zeidman, founder of BarkPass, to explore how a career in finance and technology evolved into a mission focused on animal welfare, pet safety, and community impact.

What I loved about this conversation is that it goes beyond pets. At its core, this discussion is about purpose, service, leadership, and the ripple effect that happens when we choose to contribute to something bigger than ourselves.

We explore how responsible pet ownership, animal welfare initiatives, pet licensing, and community-focused solutions can help create stronger, safer, and more connected neighborhoods.

In this episode, we explore:

  • How Steve transitioned from finance and technology into animal welfare

  • The inspiration behind creating BarkPass

  • The impact of COVID-19 on animal shelters and pet adoption

  • Why pet licensing plays an important role in community wellbeing

  • How dog parks can strengthen local communities

  • The role technology can play in improving pet safety

  • What responsible pet ownership looks like today

  • How small actions can create meaningful community impact

This episode is for you if:

  • You love animals and care about animal welfare

  • You're interested in creating positive change in your community

  • You're curious about responsible pet ownership

  • You want to learn more about pet safety and pet licensing

  • You're exploring how purpose-driven work can create impact

  • You believe community connection matters

One of the biggest reminders from this conversation is that meaningful change often starts closer to home than we think. Whether it's supporting a local shelter, adopting a pet, volunteering, or simply becoming a more engaged member of our community, our actions matter.

Living the width of your life isn't always about making dramatic changes. Sometimes it's about recognizing where you can contribute, serve, and create a positive impact right where you are.
