What happens when the strength that carried you through life is no longer enough?
In this episode of Live the Width of Your Life™ — Success Rooted in Alignment, I sit down with former Navy SEAL, author, and founder of True Body Intelligence, Christopher Maher.
Christopher’s life has been shaped by discipline, resilience, and service. After losing his mother at a young age, he grew up in a structured boarding school environment that instilled perseverance and mental toughness. Those early experiences eventually led him to pursue one of the most demanding paths in the world, becoming a Navy SEAL.
But years after leaving the military, a series of health challenges and a serious car accident forced him to confront something he had never fully faced before: the trauma his body had been carrying for decades.
What followed was an unexpected journey into holistic healing, emotional release, and spiritual transformation.
In our conversation, Christopher shares what Navy SEAL training taught him about resilience — and what it didn’t teach him about healing.
Together we explore what happens when strength alone is no longer enough, and how true resilience often begins when we learn to listen more deeply to our bodies, our faith, and the deeper purpose guiding our lives.
In this episode, we discuss:
Christopher’s early life and the loss of his mother
Lessons from growing up in a highly structured boarding school
What Navy SEAL training teaches about discipline and perseverance
The health challenges that forced him to rethink strength and resilience
How trauma can live in the body
Holistic practices that helped him rebuild his health

What it means to live the width of your life
Perfect for: Anyone interested in resilience, personal growth, healing, and living with deeper intention.
About Christopher:
Christopher Lee Maher is a former Navy SEAL, author, inventor, entrepreneur, speaker, coach, and innovator in the fields of health, wellness, and longevity. Like many high-performing athletes, he dealt with joint pain. He was headed for a full-blown hip replacement, was reading lips because his hearing was shot, and his vision wasn’t much better.
Through intense pain, Christopher devoted all of his energy, time, and resources seeking relief. He then applied the learned techniques on himself 5-6 hours every day for 7 years.
Christopher studied at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and Yo San University, where he learned Traditional Chinese Medical Practices and Western science and pathology. He is also a Master student of Grand Master Mantak Chia at the Universal Tao Master School.
His knowledge and experience led him to develop a comprehensive system of total physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing and integration: the True Body Intelligence technology. With his help, Christopher’s clients have succeeded at the highest levels in sports, entertainment, business, medicine, and international politics.
