Episode 212: How to Start Building Wealth at Any Age | Chris Larsen
/Powered by RedCircle
On the Live The Width of Your Life podcast, we explore what it means to not only live the length of our life but instead the breadth, depth, and purpose of each day.
She shares her personal story of creating balance in her life by aligning her daily choices to life values, strategies to redefine success, and creating space for a bit of magic and synchronicity.
It's never too late to change! We don't need to have it all figured out to begin; we can take action daily, show up imperfectly, and be amazed and inspired by how beautiful life can be.

What if you had enough money, but still didn't have the freedom you thought it would give you?
And what if financial independence wasn't really about having more things, but about having more choices?
That's one of the questions at the heart of my conversation with Chris Larsen.
Chris's relationship with money and freedom began very young. After losing his best friend at 19, he started asking a question that changed the direction of his life:
If I died tomorrow, would I be satisfied with the life I'm living?
That question eventually led him toward financial independence, real estate investing, passive income, and a very intentional approach to how he spends his time.
Chris and I talk about money, but this conversation is really about something bigger. Freedom.
Chris built his career across biomechanical engineering, medical device sales, real estate investing, and business ownership. Over time, he built multiple sources of income and eventually reached a point where continuing his six-figure career became a choice rather than a necessity.
What struck me most was that money was never really the end goal.
He wanted the ability to choose.
The ability to be there for his children.
The ability to pursue meaningful work.
The ability to spend time with family, care for his health, and serve his community.
And that is where his philosophy connects so beautifully with the idea of living the width of your life.

A Question to Carry With You
What would you do differently if you knew your time was more limited than you thought?
For Chris, that question became the beginning of a very different relationship with money, work, and freedom.
Closing Reflection
Financial freedom is not only about having more money.
It is about creating enough choice to live the width of your life, not simply the length of it.
